Real estate law
Legal and notarial counsel on real estate transactions, condominiums, the maritime-terrestrial zone (ZMT) and development in Costa Rica.
How we approach this service
Real estate law is one of the firm’s historical pillars. We have guided Costa Rican and foreign investors through purchases, sales, developments and possessory disputes, both in the Central Valley and along the country’s coastlines. Our work prioritizes thorough due diligence and clear documentation: we would rather a deal be done well than closed in a rush. A partner handles each transaction from start to finish.

First conversation
we understand the deal or the property and what the client intends to do with it.
Analysis and strategy
we carry out the title and registry review, identify the risks and propose the legal and notarial structure for the closing.
Direct involvement
the partner in charge drafts the contracts, reviews the deed and appears before the notary. The client deals with the partner directly.
Closing and follow-up
we record the documents, follow up with the registry and leave the file in order for future transactions involving the same property.
